When you leave comments on this website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string. Analysis of this information helps keep our site free from spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
When you take a photograph with a digital camera, the resulting file contains a lot of extra data (EXIF) relating to that photograph. This data may include the GPS coordinates of where the photograph was taken and the name of the device used(eg. Edward Snowden’s iPhone).
If you upload an image to our site, this information will not be removed from your file and so will be available to anyone that can view it. We strongly recommend that you use an EXIF editor on your image files before you upload them to ANY website so that you can control exactly what information is included.
